GIFT GUIDE: FOR THEM
Happy Wednesday, ladies! Today’s gift guide is all about couples. A lot of times we give gifts to each individual person, but couples gifts can be really fun, and since you’re buying for two, you can take your budget a little farther. Couples gifts should always be gifts that both can use and love. Something like a mixer or cocktail shaker might get used by one person more than the other, but they still will appreciate the product of the gift coming from you just as much. You can also find card games and fun cocktail glasses that both would use and love. Whatever you decided to gift there’s one major rule you should follow when giving a single gift to a couple:
As a general rule of thumb, couples gifts should be given to couples who live together. There are exceptions, of course. But if you give, say, a game like Cards Against Humanity, to a couple who doesn’t live together, either they will have to constantly bring it back and forth – or, more likely, it will end up with one of them forever. No one wants to have to deal with joint-custody for a card game, so if a couple lives apart, gift them different things. Of course, they could be things that relate to each other, like two different board games or two kinds of cocktail sets, but not things that NEED the other to be complete. For example, don’t gift one person the base deck for CAH and then the other person the small expansion packs.
