Happy Monday, ladies! I hope you had a fabulous weekend! I’m pretty sure I’m resisting some kind of cold or something just based on how stinking tired I am. I never sleep in, but I’ve been getting 9-10 hours of restless sleep per night the last week or so. So that’s a thing that’s happening. ANYWAY, let’s get into this post! You may recognize this outfit from the Holiday Gift Guide this year, and I wore it for a special purpose. It’s such a great cocktail/holiday outfit, which makes it a perfect candidate for Winter 2017 Formula #1!

I love velvet ribbons in the winter time. Even when velvet isn’t massively trendy, it is still gorgeous in a ribbon during the colder seasons. You don’t have to just wear them in your hair, though. It would look just as pretty wrapped around your bag handle, or tied on your wrist, or even as a choker. Plus it’s too easy to pick up a roll of ribbon for holiday gifts and just snip off a bit for yourself – easy and totally inexpensive!
