HEALTHY & QUICK SNACKS FOR WORK & PLAY
Happy Thursday, ladies! I hope you enjoyed Tuesday’s post, and I’m back today with another post that technically belonged much earlier this month. Oopsie! Anyway, today I wanted to share a fitness post focused on quick snacks. Obviously, life has been pretty hectic lately (hence why this post in on a Thursday two weeks too late!), but eating is something that has to happen. So one thing I’ve learned is how to get yummy, mostly healthy snacks, that I can eat in just a few minutes and help keep my energy up all day! I went ahead and split them into two categories for you: with, and without, utensils. I feel like that makes sense because some days are just so busy, you can’t bare to spare two hands for eating!

UTENSIL-FREE SNACKS
As some of my friends would say, no food required utensils if you’re committed enough. But many situations necessitate mess-free eating, in addition to utensil free eating. So here’s a few of my favorite utensil-free snacks:
- Nuts and trail mix
- Dark chocolate (I like small Hershey-kiss sized pieces for a quick sweet treat)
- Energy bars (Clif and Kind bars are my favorites)
- Packed-full protein shakes (assuming you have time at the start of the day to make one to save!)
- Fruit like apples, bananas, or a pre-prepared bowl of cut fruit
- Drinkable soups (remember those? Still helpful!)
UTENSILS REQUIRED
Occasionally, we can spare two hands to eat on the busiest days, but no more than two minutes. So here’s a few quick snacks that do usually require a spoon or fork, but are still quick and easy:
- Apple sauce
- Instant oatmeal packs
- Yogurt + granola
- Hearty soups in 1/2 – 1 cup sized cups
Obviously, snacks are not substitutes for real meals and you should make time for breakfast and dinner, at a minimum, every day. But some days are just so busy, so it’s helpful to have a range of snacks available to grab every 2 hours or so, that take minutes to eat, and help keep you energized all day. The last thing you want to do is deprive yourself of such necessary energy and nutrients, so multiple fast snacks are the perfect solution to days where you just can’t find a half an hour block to eat a larger meal.
