BLUEPRINT BEAUTY: EYESHADOW CHALLENGE UPDATE
Happy Wednesday! Awhile ago I shared a post about a little eyeshadow challenge I was doing. Basically, I have a lot of palettes and I want to get use out of them. So I’ve been challenging myself to use 1-2 shades out of a palette everyday, avoiding repeating unless I really think it’ll complete a look. Once I’ve used every shade, I switch to a new palette. It has been so much freaking fun, I have to say. And I’m getting way more love out of my palettes. I fell out of the routine for awhile after we moved, but I’m back in it and wanted to share three of the palettes I’ve used lately that you can still pick up.

TARTE EYESHADOW WARDROBE
I was surprised how much I loved these palettes! It was a holiday item, but it’s still available for now, so grab it while you can. I loved the colors in the glamour palette, but I was still a little nervous of it. Ultimately, I was able to create some really great looks with it. It definitely had more of a fall vibe though, so I’d take it out around then. The gilded palette is warmer, but I felt more spring forward. This is definitely the easiest palette to use because most of the shades are so neutral. I created one look that I’m hoping to make into a reel because it was seriously so good. I received compliments from straight men wearing it – so you know it was something special – but it was so freaking simple! Love!
NATASHA DENONA RETRO GLAM
This is my most recent palette and I haven’t quite dug all the way into it, but I’ve used 90% of the shades by now. After using the Tarte palettes, I didn’t find this one as intuitive, however, I’ve still loved the looks. The quality is top-notch, as Natasha Denona always is. Part of the challenge involves only using the one palette, but I feel that this palette would complement a cool-toned neutral quad really, really well. Just something to give you a range of cool-neutrals to set off the more colorful shades with. Mostly, I’ve been loving creating monochromatic looks with this bad boy. I recommend swatching before dipping into a color because they do pull a little differently against skin tones.
