FALL, BUT MAKE IT UNSEASONABLY WARM
First of all, don’t mind the giant bruise on my arm. I had traveled before these pics were taken and hit my arm on something at the airport. I make a point to not edit my photos too much so I don’t alter real life. Second of all, let’s talk about warm weather fall outfits because it is hot as hell out here y’all. I’m currently sitting in a very dark house with a fan drying out my sinuses because we don’t have AC and it’s been hitting 90+ in this beach town (where summer never usually gets above the low 80s). But we’re still trying to do cute things so here’s a few tips for styling fall outfits when it’s unseasonably warm.

THE TANK MIDI DRESS
This is my ultimate favorite for a hot day. I find this style is perfect for a dressed up or casual approach since the way you accessorize it makes all the difference. You can also wear shorts under to help with chafing and rubbing which feels awful when it’s hot. Iykyk. I do have a loose tank mini that I love as well, but it’s a little more difficult to wear effective shorts since if they’re super short they just ride right up.
I like a high-neck halter style since it provides a little coverage to keep the style flexible for more formal needs. This style is uber flattering on my body type, so ultimately choose the neckline that you feel the best in.
IT’S IN THE HAIR & SHOES
Ponytails, space buns, slicked back, or twisted up in a claw clip. Whatever it takes, get if off your neck and shoulders. When it’s really hot, I prefer a ponytail for two reasons. A little swish can feel nice lol.
But also, a bun or clip piles the hair onto my scalp which also contributes to feeling way too hot. A pony gathers hair up and away from my head which is exactly what I need to help keep cool.
Hands, head, and feet are where you tend to lose or keep the most amount of heat, so whatever you can do to keep those areas cool will ultimately help! So a strappy sandal is also a must have! My Millers might be even a little too warm since the logo sits pretty snug, but they’re just so comfortable so I tend to deal with them if I need a flat. I have some heels with the thinnest straps and only two or three that I love when I’m opting for something with more height.
BE MINDFUL OF ACCESSORIES
One thing that I always find makes me way too obscenely warm is too many accessories. Instead of stacking bracelets, for this look, I stuck to my regular essentials + a cute anklet. If it had been even that much warmer, I probably would have ditched the belt as well. As it was, I was warm with the belt but it was survivable.
