EARLY FALL TRANSITIONAL OUTFIT
Happy Wednesday! I wanted to share some outfit inspo today in the form of an early fall transitional outfit. To be honest, I’m not sure that I’m all for fall fashion yet. Some days I’ve been just the most excited. But as I’m picking out my outfits, I find that I’m still wanting to wear my summery pieces. Hopefully this post will give you a few tips if you are in the same boat!

LAYER A SWEATER
Pretty much every year I write a post like this and pretty much every year this is a tip.
It. Is. Foolproof.
Personally, I am someone who really dislikes being too hot or too cold, so I love a layered fit so I can adapt to the weather. For the outfit in this post, I did the TikTok bracelet twist on this dress and layered a sweater on top (I also used a belt to get that tuck). I loved this idea because I could leave my sweater on for a warmer look, but also take it (and the belt) off if I needed to cool down. Thanks to the bracelet trick, the dress had some extra interest and a more flattering fit and it ended up being the secret to making this a transition-able outfit.
This is a cami dress, so if it was particularly chilly or aiming for modesty, I might also have opted to layer a t-shirt under the dress so when I popped off the sweater I had something that was still a little more covering.
BREAK OUT THE BOOTS
Boots are one of the easiest ways to get a fall vibe out of a transitional outfit. If you are big on fashion, this is probably very duh to you, but if you’re in a rut – start here:
Mini skirt + boots? Win.
Flared denim + a hidden boot? Gorg.
Leggings + a knee high boot? Always.
Then just top the look with your favorite blouse, or follow the tips above and layer a tank/cami + sweater situation so you can adapt to the weather without a lot of effort!
