FLIGHTS OF FANCY: VALENTINE’S POP

Happy Monday! I’m excited for Valentine’s Day this year. I’m not sure why, but I just feel like it’s needed. We all need a little romance – romanticizing our lives, anyway. I mean, I love some actual romance, too. But I think making each day special is so important these days where everything has been so dreary. And a special day is a great thing to make extra special with a few novelty touches. I’m not one to go all out for Valentine’s Day these days, but I do appreciate a Valentine’s pop and I think these pieces (which you may already have some version of!) are just the thing!

I love the idea of incorporating the thematic colors through accessories, while keeping the rest of the look natural. It feels on theme, but not like a costume. Similarly, a heart-shaped accessory or two can be a great way to add a Valentine’s pop without it feeling overwhelming.
