STAY WARM IN SPRING LOOKS
Well, it’s Monday again, if you can believe it. I can’t even grasp that we’re already in June. It seems like 2020 was literally just yesterday. And we’re skirting summer – but listen, some days are still cold. There was crazy hail in Colorado last week and Cali was quite crisp as well. Also I’ve been sitting on these photos since November and this posted was drafted to go up in March. Seriously – I erased the old intro about spring being like three days away. I’m posting this post – relevant or not okay, lol. So, with all that in mind, I thought I’d share some tips and tricks for warm spring looks that give you all the spring vibes without freezing your tushy off!

TIPS FOR STAYING WARM IN SPRING LOOKS
Layers and careful fabric selection are my top tips for staying warm in your spring/summer looks. Fortunately, knit tanks are super on trend so you can find a lot to give a little extra cozy. I also love layering a basic cami underneath my sweaters or even tanks, if the straps are right. I bought this cami set on Amazon a couple years ago and wear one almost daily.
With something like a sweater dress, a warm undershirt or even some compression shorts can go a long way – especially if there’s a bit of a breeze. At the very least, it keeps the direct cold off most of your skin. Boots are also a great way to stay warm, opt for springy colors or styles to keep the look in season. The coverage will come with warmth.
WARM SPRING OUTFIT FORMULAS
Here’s a few outfit formulas to get you thinking, don’t forget you can add or subtract a layer depending on your local weather:
- Sweater dress, undershirt, compression shorts knee high boots
- Short sleeve midi dress, mini cotton slip dress, wide-strap sandals
- Sweater tank, jeans, cut out booties
- Silky long sleeve blouse, base layer, jeans, sandals
If it’s really cold, try a long sleeve bodysuit with a plunging neckline and a thick denim or leather jacket. A low neckline can help fake that spring/summer look (especially coupled with a summery pattern or color), but the sleeves and jacket will give the warmth you need.
