I added a belt to this dress, but I didn’t necessarily need it. Midis are so wonderful because their length and statement nature makes them a look in themselves. Of course, you could totally use any of the tricks I’ve talked about to spice up your midi even more. My favorite thing about midi dresses is their versatility for work and play. The length is perfect for wearing to work. Where a maxi can be too extreme casual or formal, depending on the print or material, a midi is just the right length and not so dependent on other factors to determine it’s appropriateness. Of course, a lace midi or tulle skirt isn’t exactly work appropriate. But a stripe dress like this looks so cute paired with a simple cardigan and it’s fully appropriate no matter where you go.
