5 SUPER SIMPLE WAYS TO AMP UP YOUR WEEKEND STYLE
Happy, well, it should have been Friday… But Happy Tuesday, ladies! Uh, I had some technical difficulties this weekend and I literally couldn’t do anything on my computer. Which is where the photos for today’s post were so… Anyhoooo, I’m getting it up today and not delaying tomorrow’s post (hopefully). So, let’s just get into my five favorite ways to add a little something extra to your outfit to amp up your weekend style, without trying too hard.

Something about having matching accessories adds a layer of next level chic to your look. Maybe it’s because it reminds us of those classic fashion rules or iconic fashion mavens from decades past. Think Jackie O and that era. Women somehow through tedious effort looked impeccable everyday. And having matching accessories was one way. And that alone takes you, what like, two seconds?
TWO. OPT FOR A DRESS
Why is that whenever we wear dresses, everyone thinks we’ve dressed up? I dunno, but as long as they do, this trick will work. You literally do not have to match two separate pieces when you wear a dress. Which makes it easier than a top and shorts or even a top and pants combo. Have you ever had to change your shirt bc it looks silly with the wash of your jeans? Yeah, dresses don’t have that problem and they look chic right off the bat.

Sort of like item two, if you’re going to chose colors, don’t choose too many. A monochromatic look is infinitely chic. But picking out matching shades of one color is a pain. So pick two that really pop against each other, like white and any bright or jewel tone, and stick primarily to those. If I had a white bag to wear with this look, it really would have played up this trick even more. But since we don’t always change our bags often, having your colors centered in your clothing and accessories is good enough.
FOUR. ADD A TOUCH OF METALLIC
BUT since I didn’t have the white bag, I opted to amp up this look in a different way: with a touch of metallic. This could be in a belt, in your sunglasses, your shoes, even your top. Whatever format you choose, a touch of metallic instantly adds something extra to your look. It catches light and catches eyes, and what more could you want?

So, ankle straps can cut off your leg and make you look shorter. BUT if you opt for a neutral or soft color, that little strappy detail all of a sudden makes it look like you’ve tried so hard. Maybe because it is a little harder to put on a shoe with a strap. But the level of difficulty required is far surpassed by the chicness offered by a shoe like this.
So there you have it. 5 uber simple ways to amp up your weekend style that take literally seconds to put together.
What’s your go-to weekend style? How do you like to amp up your look?
