CUBICLE TO COCKTAIL: TEACHER STYLE
Happy Wednesday, ladies! How’s your week going? I don’t know if I mentioned this, but I started subbing recently and I’ve really gotten into the whole teacher style. I mean, it pretty much is my go-to style anyway, so I’m living my best life fashion-wise on the daily. Score! But I’m still a busy lady, and I bet you are too, so being able to take a look like this to cocktail hour is essential. Today I’m sharing my tricks for styling your teacher-approved midi for a night out!

A midi skirt is such a fabulous option for taking your look from cubicle to cocktail. A more flowing skirt like this is also perfect for the classroom because you’re free to move or squat down without flashing or exposing any areas. They’re super comfortable, and don’t scream club like shorter or tighter skirts when dressed up for a night out. A swap like this would be absolutely perfect for a casual date night, or happy hour dinner with friends.

To make a midi skirt work during play time, all you have to do is swap your top. A pretty camisole looks so elegant with a flowing midi skirt. Plus, after a day of teaching, I can’t wait to slip into comfier close – camis or long sleeve tees are my ultimate comfy pieces. This look would also work great with a fancy crop top or a comfy take depending on where you’re taking your look.

Once you’ve swapped your top, all you need to do is adjust your accessories to match your situation. I went for a clutch in this look to really play up an elegance factor. But you could swap for a cross body bag and a leather jacket to create a more casual girl’s night outfit – always nice after a day in the classroom!
