MY FAVORITE WORKOUT ROUTINE
Happy #WorkoutWednesday, ladies! How’s your week going? I’m on vacation kind of, and it’s been weird. It’s more of a stay and get things done -cation, but we’re not really succeeding. Oops. Anyway, I’m hoping my favorite day of the week helps bit. In today’s post I’m sharing my go-to workout routine. I’m a creature of habit, and I like what I like. I think I’ve mentioned that in every workout post I’ve ever done. So this routine is built around those things, it is not targeted, although it does reach just about every area. Consider it a gentle, full body workout. I usually pair it with a run or 30 minutes to an hour on the elliptical. I also included routine times, but I do adjust them based on my mood or if I seem to be performing well that day. Anyway, let’s just get into it!

STRETCHES (7:45+)
- Flamingo (30 seconds on each side)
- Toe touch, feet together (30 seconds)
- Toe touch, feet apart and palms flat on the ground (30 seconds)
- Toe touch, feet apart, hold onto one foot (30 seconds on each side)
- Sitting toe touch (30 seconds)
- Sitting toe touch, one leg out, the other tucked in (30 seconds on each side)
- Sitting toe touch, legs wide apart, grab for one foot (30 seconds on each side)
- Sitting toe touch, legs wide apart, stretch forward (30 seconds)
- Hollywood stretch (30 seconds on each side)
- Butterfly stretch (45 seconds)
- Pigeon stretch (30 seconds on each side)
CORE (11:30+)
- Plank (30 seconds)
- Side plank (30 seconds on each side)
- Leg extension (30 seconds on each side)
- Side scissors (30 seconds on each side)
- Hip down planks (30 seconds on each side)
- One-leg bridge (30 seconds on each side)
- Bicycle crunch (1 minute)
- Bridge with medicine ball (1 minute)
- Reverse crunch (1 minute)
- Push ups (1 minute)
- Squats (2 minutes)
COOL DOWN (1:45+)
- Cobra pose (30 seconds)
- Downward dog post (45 seconds)
- Cobra post (30 seconds)
- Child’s pose (Until cool)
