NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE TIPS & TRICKS (+ MY UNDER $100 PICKS!)
Happy Wednesday, ladies! I’m experimenting with my posting schedule a bit if you haven’t noticed. As per usual in all our lives, there’s been a little more chaos than usual and I’m supposed to be studying for the GRE. Oops. Hopefully this week will be the last. No, it will be – because I’m having a #Girlboss moment, taking control and just gotta say, “No!” Not to the blog, of course, because I freakin’ love this place ;), but I will be playing with posting schedules to find one that’s functional with my study schedule! Anyway, the #Nsale opens to the public this week and I’m sure you’ve been totally saturated with posts, but I wanted to share a few tricks for making the sale work for you, making your own picks, and of course, sharing my favorites in case you need a little more inspiration!

DUPLICATES AND FAVORITE CLASSIC PIECES
One of my favorite items to grab during a major sale like the Nordstrom Anniversary sale are duplicate items. Things like leggings (these Hue ones are my holy grail), comfy t-shirts, undershirts, or anything that I tend to wear out over time or just let sit in my laundry basket for 3 weeks. I also look for classic pieces, like high quality jackets, or things that have been on my wish list for awhile. Last year, I picked up a gel nail kit + light and I’ve used it exclusively on my fingernails since.
P.S. If you wanna get a gel kit but don’t want to waste your polish collection, grab a very neutral almost invisible gel color. You want something that’s enough to look beautiful and natural on it’s own, but not be hard to cover. I paint mine a soft pink color, then add a normal polish layer after a week.
ALMOST-WORTH-IT-AT-FULL-PRICE DESIGNER PIECES
For me, this is pretty much anything in the Tory Burch line. I definitely feel that the black Miller sandals are worth their full $195 price tag. They’re so comfortable and mine have survived nuclear war and look great still. But the boots that every blogger is loving right now would be perfect for me since I don’t gravitate toward one boot all season the way I do for sandals. Cute novelty pieces like items in the Kate Spade range are also fabulous to pick up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale because you won’t wear them all the time, but they’re quality enough to quirk up an outfit season after season without really going out of style.
