SUMMER TREND: HOW TO ROCK YOUR RAFFIA
Happy Monday, Gorgeous! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite summer trends, the raffia handbag, and how to wear it! This trend is typically worn poolside or beachside with a coverup or beachy look. I’m totally obsessed with that style, but I wanted to share a look that really shows the versatility of this piece and why it can be a part of your wardrobe for summers to come.

Raffia Wear & Care Tips:
- Keep in mind that raffia is a very summery fabric, while you can mix and match it, it looks best with light colors and/or flowing or gauzy fabrics. (Think gauzy black summer dress, or a coral top and white skinny jeans).
- Because of the grassy knit, this fabric can get dirty pretty easily so avoid setting it on the ground. Beach sand is not horrible, because of the light color, but you’ll find it does get trapped in the knit very easily.
- Some knits are heavier than others. Think, the more structured the bag, the more resistant to snagging and dirt-grabbing (meaning, grains get stuck in the weave, staining is all about the color you choose).
- Don’t be afraid to try mixed fabrics. I’m in love with my leather and raffia clutch. I worry less about getting dirt caught in the weave and I can still maintain all of that summer vibe.
- Finally, don’t over think it! You’ll know the moment you grab your raffia bag if it works with your look. If you hesitate, but don’t hate it, come back to it after you’ve finished your hair and make up, then follow that judgement call.
