THE NOT SO WISE
Four into hours post-op and chill… |
Hi, friends! Last week I had my wisdom teeth removed. The surgery itself went great – despite my intense fear of dental work – and I was almost totally unaffected by the anesthetic. I woke up and immediately asked for my teeth to run a isotope analysis on them, but that was as wacky as I got. Anyway, it’s the painkillers that are the real doozy. (I’m fairly certain this paragraph makes sense, but I’m not actually sure and it’s taken me 20 minutes to type just this much with autocorrect helping out!) My face is currently way more swollen than that photo suggests, as well! I would say it’s very bulldog-ish, a good friend of mine said I could be Richard Nixon’s doppelgänger. I promise I will share hilarious photos as soon as I can operate technology better. I also chopped off a good 12+ inches of hair this weekend to donate, which is super exciting!
I had some much more exciting post ideas for today, but I haven’t been able to function clearly enough to write them, so a quick update will do. It is a very humorous, but a little annoying, situation that I hope will be alleviated by Wednesday. My thought-processing ability is severely impaired, but I’m beyond excited and ready to get back to work on the great projects I have planned for this holiday season!
Thanks for reading, thanks for sharing – you all add so much joy to my life! P.S. I would love it if you shared your wisdom teeth stories with me in the comments! You can also add me on Snapchat @ashliha for some chubby cheek updates!
