MODAL: THE MIRACLE FABRIC
HOLY. So I’ve been sitting on this as my little secret recently, not for any reason, except that it just wasn’t prolific enough to make post writing very easy. But some new discoveries have prompted me to share something that will change your life. Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating. But if you’re like me and are super sensitive to fabrics then, without a doubt, life changing. Anyone else, you’re just going to be super happy. Because modal is a thing. A wonderful, wonderful thing.
I tend to prefer shopping alone because my friends laugh at me when I shop. I touch everything. Most of the time before I’ve even looked at it, because the texture is so important. I want my clothes to make me feel good, not itchy or stifled. In the last year though, I’ve become a tag checker. I’m looking for anything like 90%+ modal because it’s so freaking baby’s bottom soft. It’s definitely a thinner fabric so I’m snagging it for all the pjs and weekend gear I can. But light tanks are also nice under itchy sweaters, so it’s useful during the week too. Anyway, enough talking. Here’s a few of my favorite modal things.
GO TOUCH THEM. It’s so hard to describe the texture of a fabric online, so you have to go and see it for yourself, but I promise. It’s amazing.
