FRIDAY FAVORITES
TGIF! I showed up to work at the airport today and my Nana had brought me in a huge tub of cut up, fresh off the tree peaches. I swear there’s like five peaches in there and it will be gone in just hours. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been craving a fresh peach. I’m in such a stellar mood, even this sort of sad Lee Brice song can’t bring it down. I mean, it’s a wonderful song. It gives me chills. But it can also be a tear-jerker. Worth it. Any song that can stimulate a powerful emotional response is a good song in my book.
In my pursuit to discover great new wines and craft beers, I’ve accumulated a massive amount of empty glass bottles. I hate to waste them, so I’ve been Pinteresting creative ways to upcycle glass bottles like crazy. These self watering planters have got to be one of my top favorites.
If I sound a little.. wired.. this morning, it’s not just the peaches. I was rudely awoken at 0400 this morning with a lovely headache, really centered just above my right eye. I couldn’t find any aspirin and was too miserable to go back to sleep, so now I’m way over-caffeinated. I hit up The Everygirl this morning to catch up on some articles and found one entitled “5 Natural Headache Remedies.” Better late than never. This will be a lifesaver if when it happens again.
If you’re looking for a way to keep up on the latest without spending five hours reading NY Times articles, check out theSkimm. It’s early delivery is perfect for catching up in bed.
I’m dying over Helena’s outfit in her post from yesterday. Check out “Eat, Drink & Be Merry” over at Brooklyn Blonde. For great looks and more!
Whew. Friday.
P.S. Peaches.
P.P.S. I swear, this is my last up of coffee today.
