IPSY #01
So I’ve recently gotten on the subscription bandwagon. I started Birchbox a couple months ago – I
was too excited to tear into it to take any pictures, but I promise I will for this month. My first Ipsy bag was equally awesome, but makeup is easier to resist until post overly-staged and under-timed photos. What’s a busy girl to do?
MY FIRST IPSY BAG
TARTE DELUXE AMAZONIAN CLAY WATERPROOF BRONZER.
I haven’t played with this product too much yet. A little blush, mascara and some eyebrow grooming are good enough for me on early morning class days. I did test it out one day though, just a quick application and I like the texture and feel. The color might be a little to dark for me, but next time I try it I’ll blend it a little better under my blush. My feelings for this one are TBD.
BELLÁ PIERRE COSMETICS MINERAL LIPSTICK.
Oh, look, it matches the pink packaging! The color is a little too bold for me, but I can easily see myself grabbing it when I’m feeling adventurous on a night out. Especially because the formula feels so good. It’s a dense product and doesn’t feel like it’ll break with a rushed application, but it goes on easy and pigmented so I’m not spending hours trying to get the color there either.
JOR’EL PARKER CLASSICO.
I wish this sample was bigger. But at the same time, it’s perfectly clutch sized. And it smells divine. Still, I want MOAR.
‘TINI BEAUTY EYETINI SWIZZLE STICK EYELINER IN BLUE HAWAIIAN.
So my first thought was, 13 Going on 30? Last month I got a blue eyeliner in my Birchbox, too. I think we’ve stumbled on a beauty editor conspiracy: Gretchen, stop trying to make blue eyeliner happen. That being said, it’s still kind of happening. I like it when I wear next-to-no make up or spend the day by the beach, it’s theme-y and fun, but does nothing special for my green – and many other – eyes.
JERSEY SHORE COSMETICS MONGONGO VANILLA COCONUT CREAM LIP CONDITIONER.
I think I would normally be a little disappointed with chapstick, but this dry mouth thing is getting severe. I need all the back up I can get. It’s not extra special, it smells good, but an EOS is just fine with me too. And it’s not quite as nourishing as the Carmex I’ve been using, but I’ll toss it into one of the bags in my rotation so I never risk being without.
This post is all my own opinion and totally unsponsored.
