Talking about new sounds in country, how about this track by Ricky Young? Most of the time if I’m going to fall in love with a song, it only takes about 10 seconds. It took me half the song to make up my mind, but I totally dig it.  I can’t quiet figure out the instrumentals, except that I love them. It’s poppy, but not any more than Sam Hunt, but the lyrics are so country in the best way.

Y’all, I’m still sick. I swear I’ll never get healthy at this rate. The most amazing thing about spending 90% of your life feeling like you just got run over by a tow truck is that you learn how to at least look like you haven’t been run over by a tow truck. I’m a little slower, but a shower helps me feel better so I’ve resigned to being about an hour late getting my day going. An outfit like this one worn by Megan Irwin is super comfortable and looks ultra cute. The final piece? Bright lipstick. No one ever assumes you feel like tow truck road kill when you’ve got bright lipstick on!

Victoria’s Secret is clearly great and intimates and swim and fragrance, too. I tend to approach their beauty products with a little more skepticism. Mostly because it isn’t what they do. So when I picked up this lip stain from the Beauty Rush collection, I was prepared to be satisfied, but I didn’t expect it to be a game changer. As far as stains go, it isn’t a game changer, but it is an amazing lipgloss. It’s not too tacky and it lasts forever. I’m bummed there isn’t a true red option, but I love the pinky red of Eternal Flame.

I’m starting to stash away all of my winter clothes, including some of my warmer boots. Generally, I use a little bit of newspaper to help keep their form, especially since many end up sitting decoratively around in my room. Newspaper, though, isn’t the prettiest. I stumbled across this totally awesome boot stuffer DIY from Love Maegan that I think will be the perfect solution. 🙂
