FRIDAY FAVORITES
I’ve been so busy the past couple months I haven’t had a chance to explore new music. But I made time this week. And this song, I like the Sound of That by Rascal Flatts, is just one of the best. I was stuck between deciding on this song or a Scotty McCreery song for today. The Flatts song was a little more upbeat. I love it. Just puts a big ol’ smile on my face. Can’t say that’s a bad way to start the weekend. 😉
I’ve been in love with stripes for as long as I can remember. If I organized my closet by pattern, the stripe section would be embarrassingly large. That being said, I added a new addition to my stripe section recently. Shockingly, I didn’t own a simple black and white striped dress. And now I do. I’m in love and on the hunt for some inspiration. I love how The Northeast Girl wore her striped dress.
Have you ever tried one of those microfiber-y or terry cloth hair towels? The ones that a made pretty much for wrapping your hair up in. I love them. For one, their easy and not too heavy. But even better, they’re more absorbent and help my hair dry faster. For someone who is always late, that’s such a huge help. Ulta has a few different styles, I love this Turbie Twist set. 10/10 would recommend. 🙂
I go through phases with lip color. I’ve been in a bold phase recently, lots of bright or dark colors, mostly red. But I’ve been starting to transition out of the bold and into a more neutral, soft category. Usually, I would grab a neutral, pinky gloss. But I want matte. I’m on the hunt for a neutral pinky lipstick. I’ve come to the conclusion that bold colors are way easier to find than neutrals, however, I’ve been eyeing this Nars Pure Matte Lipstick and the Bite Beauty High Pigment Color. I’ll have to try them out. Any thoughts?
Of all the things I start craving near finals, the opportunity to be creative is the most difficult to satisfy. My apartment still needs work, but we have this cool hexagon print hanging up in the dining area. I wanted to find a way to expand it into the rest of the room, and I saw this cool DIY which gave me a few cool ideas. Now I just need the time to try it!
HAPPY FRIDAY!!
