THE JACKET
It’s been awhile since I’ve had a girl’s day with my mom. When I was home last weekend, we decided to have dinner and spend a little time in town. We visited a few of my favorite local boutiques and walked away with more than a few great finds. This jacket and sweater were just part of that. The sweater is so so soft. It’s one of those pieces my mom will steal more than once. The jacket is, too. In fact, we both got one. I’m obsessed. It’s so soft.
Our little downtown is expanding and turning into a place people actually wanna be again. I love it. Even if the sidewalks are hell on my heels. I love the fresh air and happy feeling of the shops and restaurants that line the street. I also love that history hasn’t been forsaken. Instead of totally modernizing the place, it carries with it an old time feel. You’d never know that there was a time recently where shops were dingy and store fronts closed. There’s an air of continuity, something that really makes me feel like I’m home. I’m excited to watch the continued growth and be a part of a community expanding in great ways. On the topic of feeling at home, what makes you feel like you’re home? It’s one of those concepts that keeps my mind active at night: what exactly does home mean?
