BRAND SPOTLIGHT: FOR LOVE & LEMONS
I love lace. I’ve made that abundantly clear many times over, and there’s no sign of changing. Lace and interesting details. For Love & Lemons is pretty much a god among brands when it comes to lace and details. I discovered the brand a few months before it exploded as the next biggest thing and it’s only gotten better since then.
Fun fact: I lived in Montana for three years. It’s a similar climate and setting to the brand’s first home in Wyoming. Translation: it’s gorgeous. So it’s probably no surprise that the “Howdy From Jackson Hole” Fall 2014 Collection and editorial is my favorite. What I wouldn’t give to spend more time in the sticks – life is just a walking photo op. But all of their collections convey a relaxed, effortless feeling. For Love & Lemons makes lace look casual and comfortable in a way that no one else has and maybe ever will. Combined with gorgeous knits, they’ve found a whole new market and cornered it solidly. I know I’m not the only one who instantly recognizes a design without having seen the collection it’s from first. No doubt both a little luck and a lot of really, really hard work are behind founders Gillian Rose Kern and Laura Hall’s success. As designers, they’re amazing and as businesswomen, they’re so totally inspiring. I can’t wait to see what they think up next. Girl crush.
I picked out my favorite images from the brand’s blog and collection pages and curated a couple little shopable slide shows with my favorite pieces. The last one is filled with accessories not designed by the brand, but that I think pair well with their style and products. What do you think of For Love & Lemons?
