FRIDAY FAVORITES
My Sam Hunt addiction is still all too real. I stumbled across Saturday Night, an acoustic track recently. Apparently there’s a ton of acoustic tracks I’ve missed and it’s like Christmas all over again. So much good. Like everything else in my Friday round up, click through and check it out.
I love cool weather, but I’m ready to start wasting a few days out on the water. I love interestingly structured swimsuits more than I dislike tan lines, so I’ve been on the hunt for a fun bikini for awhile, but nothing has quite been it for me. Until I stumbled across this Victoria’s Secret beauty – not too revealing or difficult to wear, but still more interesting than a typical triangle top. Safe to say it’s on it’s way to me now.
I love The Small Things Blog. It’s on my list of dailies that I always find time for. Kate posts a lot of “fancier” hair tutorials, meaning, bobby pins and time. I love them all, but when I saw the Lived in Waves tutorial I was super excited.
I’m a busy little bumble bee these days. Running around certainly is one way to keep from eating a ton of junk food in one setting, but it’s easy to grab something not so good to go. I discovered something amazing on Pinterest recently though. The Salad in a Jar. I’m one of those people who just have mason jars laying around, so I’m super excited to try these recipes from Back to Her Roots when I’m back next week!
I’m starting a couple business classes next quarter, and I’m super excited. I wasn’t aware we had anything like that here until recently. In my excitement, I’ve upped my research game. One of my favorite sources is YFS magazine. Recently, they published a Business of Blogging case study. I think a lot of the meat of the article got edited down, but there’s a few tidbits in it. And there’s bite sized words of wisdom all over the site so I recommend it if you’re time constrained like me.
I’ve been pinning apartment ideas like crazy. Just looking for ways to make this new place feel a little more home-y and a little less dorm-y, without breaking the bank. It’s not easy. The people at Ross probably know me by now. I found some cool decorating ideas using string lights. I love the gauzy ceiling idea and the word of lights. And the rope, and mirror, and… Well, maybe I just have a thing for lights. Whatever it is, I’m inspired and dedicated to making this place home.
Happy Friday!
