FRIDAY FAVORITES
It’s finally Friday! What a week! After being out of town till Monday, I feel like I’ve been playing catch up every second. When I left sunny Santa Barbara was, well, sunny. Since I’ve been back, the marine layer hasn’t burned off for a second.
I’ve had this cool streetstyle look on my mind all week. I just can’t wait for the sun to shine even a little bit to wear something like it. The fun florals, bright colors and simple t-shirt. It’s deliciously fabulous. To satiate my craving a little I hunted down a similar skirt (or this Alice + Olivia one, on sale), J. Crew t-shirt, and some slightly-easier-for-classes sandals.
Blog, Inc. I read this book last month and couldn’t put it down. My copy has sticky notes popping out everywhere. My archive makes it obvious I’ve had a lot going on and it’s causing a little writer’s block. Determined to get it straight for the new year, I’ve picked up a handful of books about blogging, business, running – anything that requires dedication and motivation. Blog, Inc. was one of the best.
At the risk of sounding like a snobbish rich girl, my cuticles are seriously brutal. My hands dry out in the winter and no amount of hand lotion seems to cure it. I’m thinking about taking a trip to Sephora to pick up something a little stronger to cope with the damage. I’m liking this Josie Maran duo and (that bad)/or this First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Concentrate. Any other suggestions?
Clearly, summer is on my brain. I’m definitely a fan of cool weather, but I do love hanging out by the water sipping on sweet tea or strawberry lemonade. This collection of dressed up lemonade recipes is absolutely mouth watering.
We’re still setting up our new apartment, deciding on decorating and furniture arrangement. We have a couple of ugly plastic shelves in the bathroom. You know the ones I’m talking about – super convenient, but not pretty even if they try to come in a color other than white. I liked this DIY to spruce them up. And this inexpensive way to spruce up throw pillows could make a huge difference in our living room.
