Something about school seems to bring out my inner Negative Nancy. Maybe it’s the overwhelming amount of reading, or maybe I just don’t like being told what to do. Whatever the cause – running is my cure. I’ve always loved running, even if I’m not the fastest and can’t run the farthest. It’s a mental break for me. To try to keep myself running, I signed up for the Color Run in October. It’s not a race, just a fun run – it’s perfect. I can’t wait, looking forward to it has me wanting to run everyday and it’s been a great mental boost. Sporty is still in this fall, and I’m totally cool with that. I love this glammed-up sporty look worn by Lindsey Calla of Saucy Glossie. If you’re into fitness and fashion, check her blog out. She combines the two amazingly.
I adore my running shoes. They’re bright blue and pink and totally awesome. I’m not looking forward to them being covered in colored cornstarch, which has made me decide I need another pair of running shoes. But really, what girl isn’t looking for an excuse to buy new shoes? I’m loving these Nike Dual Fusion’s. Nike just does it for me, and the white will capture the color and look super cool after the race. The temptation…
I know I’ve been on a volume craze the last couple months when it comes to hair product, but this week I’ve been embracing the natural, giving my hair a break from the heat, and letting it air dry. Not the best way to achieve volume. To compensate, I’ve been using this L’Oreal High Lift Creation Spray to lock in a little teasing without having to over-tease and damage my hair. With that and a little bit of hairspray, even my super uncooperative hair will finally work with me.
