I love music, and lately I’ve been more engrossed in it than ever. So, I woke up singing “My Eyes” by Blake Shelton the other day. I couldn’t get line “come a little closer” out of my head! And I knew exactly what I wanted to wear. Although, when it came time to pick between boots or heels, the boots easily won.

Most of what I’m wearing are pieces I’ve owned for years and years – the oldies, but goodies. The newest edition is the purse I picked up from Forever 21 in May. It’s the most perfect green (my favorite color) and the structure is amazing, I had to have it. I’m pretty sure it was on sale too because I hadn’t seen it on their website.

Fortunately, what you can’t see in these pictures is the extent of the wicked sunburn I got in Texas last month. I didn’t know if I wanted to laugh because the lines were hilarious or cry because ow. I found an aloe gel with a local anesthetic in it at a drug store near my hotel so I was mostly laughing. Life is all about the silver linings.
