FRIDAY FAVORITES
Valentine’s Day is seriously one of my favorite holidays. The colors are so pretty and I’m a big romantic. This lip print DIY is probably one of my favorite Valentine’s themed DIY’s this year. It’s such a great idea, and it works well for anything girly beyond V-Day. It would make a seriously gorgeous and super personal homemade card. Read on to see more of my favorites this week!

Speaking of Valentine’s Day, I was looking up some ideas for a V-day look and stumbled upon this glittery eye and fell in love. I have a glitter liquid liner so I’m thinking about giving it a shot, maybe if I can get that cat-eye down perfectly!
A couple weeks ago I showed you some new beauty products I got. This week I’ve been using the Mary Kay creme eyeshadow in Beach Blonde a ton. I really love it. It functions mostly as an eye primer for me, but also as a color. I find that it’s perfect for adding some lightness to the inner corners of my eye and makes me look awake. It’s been kind of a big deal since exams have me running on the bare minimum of sleep!
I geek-ed out a bit this week. In case you’re not from the internet, you may not have heard about the Bill Nye and Ken Ham debate this week. Bill Nye is a pretty epic and impressive dude, and this debate showed the power of simplicity. Nye didn’t use expensive graphics or animations to prove his point, he simply used science. It was really cool to see Nye as an intelligent man, instead of a TV personality.
I may be learning Portuguese, but non-English words and I just don’t go well. Being a fashion lover, I constantly find myself loving a brand with a name I can’t say. The French names really get me, my articulators just don’t want to do that. This series of articles on Harper’s Bazaar has been amusingly helpful with some of the more difficult and unique brand names.
In the midst of midterms it’s a struggle to stay motivated and remember why I’m here. Luckily Pinterest has a cure. There’s always tons of quotes that make me think about things in a new way, written all pretty so I actually care to read them. This particular quote I quite like and really got me thinking.
Have a wonderful day!
