FRIDAY FAVORITES
Normally I try to prep my posts the night before, but the last two weeks I’ve incorporated more to my schedule and I just haven’t had time to write and prepare and post. I really feel guilty when I don’t, 1) because I’m neglecting something you might enjoy reading; and 2) I started this blog as a means for me to take a break from my sometimes pretty morbid studies and by not writing I’m neglecting my own personal emotional health. So this post is coming out a little late today, but I’m forcing myself to be inspired and bringing you some of the inspiring things I’ve come across this week. 🙂

I really love this ultra messy hairstyle. I’m not quite sure how it’s done, I’d love to find a tutorial for something similar to replicate it. It seems like a great way to do up second or third day hair. Especially with all the product residue creating the grit that adds so much to a messy look.
I’ve pretty much decided I want this Kate Spade beauty to be my new wallet. I’ve really been looking for a thin trifold, but they’re so hard to find. I checked out the Kate Spade wallets at Nordstrom’s when I got off campus Monday (I’ll have a post up about what I got soon). This one is everything I want in a bifold version and the leather feels great.
Y’all know I’m a big Blonde Salad and Chiara Ferragni fan.. Well, she’s teamed up with one of my favorite brands, Steve Madden, for a capsule collection available next month. I love what I’ve seen of it. I’m not sure I’ll be able to get my hands on a pair, but I’m still super excited that two of my favorites have hooked up!
I’m sort of obsessed with the swimsuit Lindsay Calla of Saucy Glossie is wearing in this post. I love the idea of a matching rash guard and bottom. I’ve been looking for a cute rash guard for years to protect my little navel ring from the lifejacket I wear wakeboarding. J. Crew has some cute options, and I’m sure more will become available closer to summer.
I’m all about this inspirational quote graphic. I’ve been feeling uninspired and a bit trapped, I know what I enjoy and what I’m passionate about. I need to keep in mind that these are the things that are important, not being what others want me to be.
I’m experimenting with beauty this year, and I definitely want to try more color. I’ve seen blue liner used a lot by Andy Torres of Style Scrapbook, and I’m wild about this tutorial from The Glitter Guide about getting Olivia Wilde’s version of the look.
