GET THE (BLOGGER’S) LOOK
I loved this look by Chiara Ferragni, one of my blogger loves, from The Blonde Salad when I saw it a week ago. One thing I noticed, though, it’s a bit expensive for something that is easily done. I started thinking about how I could put it together on more of a budget. Most items I already have in my closet, at least similarly.
The top and jeans are both from Hollister. I know many people have a grudge against the Abercrombie companies, but I love them. It can be expensive, but the sales are great and the clothes are not bad quality. I don’t usually have problems with the fit of jeans and bottoms, which is normally a huge problem for me. Having the logo blasted everywhere doesn’t bother me too much either, I find that it’s normally buried under a jacket, scarf or top. I think a lot of the discrimination comes from the frequent wear by tweenies and not “the blogger types,” but that’s not my problem. I make a conscious effort to avoid brand discrimination, I never know what treasure could be hiding within the walls of a store, why cut myself short?
On a less bratty note, I also want to thank everyone for the wonderful comments. I opened this blog privately a month ago and made it public at the end of November and I’ve had more of a response than I thought I would. So thanks everyone, you’re all so, so wonderful. 🙂 The time I’ve dedicated has made me want to spruce it up a little bit (already, I know), so I’m brainstorming ideas for a redesign. Hopefully I’ll have it up in the next month!
