BEAUTY: CREATIVE NAILS
I’ve always wished I had fine artistic talent. I would use it all on pretty nail art. For the most part I paint my nails only one color, usually red or light pink. There’s something so classy about red nails and elegant about nudes and light pinks. But every now and then I want something more fun. For now I’ll have to stick to nail stickers and press on color if I want funky, but maybe one day I’ll gather up the courage to try something by hand.
These nails have inspired me to do up mine again. Something about having my nails done makes me so productive and efficient. I think it’s because I’m so detail focused, especially about aesthetics. When my nails are done, I tend to be more deliberate and careful so I don’t chip them. My handwriting improves, my room stays clean, I accomplish tasks less sporadically – all because I’m trying to carefully preserve the paint at the tips of my fingers. Even the act of painting them is deliberate and slow, I usually read or write papers in between coats so that each gets about a 30 minute dry time. It’s silly, but everyone has their methods of staying motivated and organized, apparently painted nails is mine. What’s yours?
